At Harriet Tubman Community Organization, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive with confidence, pride, and purpose. Our programs are designed to inspire positive identity, celebrate cultural heritage, and create pathways for lifelong success. Through culturally responsive life skills counselling, educational support, recreational activities, and community engagement, we provide safe and welcoming spaces where Black, African, and all diverse young people feel seen, valued, and empowered. We also strengthen communities by developing leadership, fostering partnerships, and creating opportunities for grassroots organizations and community workers to grow together. By promoting social entrepreneurship and sustainable initiatives, we help build stronger, more resilient communities for future generations.

Founded in 1972, Harriet Tubman Community Organization (HTCO) was created to foster identity, belonging, and cultural pride among African Canadian youth. Since then, it has grown into a multi-service community
